Wilson's Rivers Edge Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
The good: The food was very good. From the pics you can see the portions are huge. The potato soup from the all-you-can-eat bar was very hearty. My son had the best club sandwich he's ever had. Service was very good, and country music gave the place a laid-back vibe. The not-so-good: prices are not so family friendly. Lunch prices are around $10. It cost our family of five about $55 for lunch with no drinks and before tip. There is also a 4% fee for using a credit card which we weren't aware of. in summary, we were going back and forth between a nicer sit-down place and Subway. This was far more memorable, but we paid about twice as much.
Came here during a long road trip and decided to stop in for a bite. I'm glad we did. Our waitress was friendly and the food was amazing. A must try place if you have not been here yet.
5 star because the food was so great, the server was great and decor was nice (rustic). The nutty French toast was awesome and filling!! The stuffed hash browns were really good too (but a bit small portion). Was quite a long wait, but to be expected when the food is so good:).
We stopped in for a quick bite before heading up to the tunnel of trees. Both my husband and I opted for fish. I got perch, fries, and slaw, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband got michigan White Fish, which was also very good. Generous portions definitely did not disappoint. We will gladly stop in again when in the area!
My family and I went there this morning for breakfast and it was the best idea ever! The service was amazing, our waitress was OUTSTANDING and very accommodating to our requests and needs. Her name is Mira and I very much highly recommend her, the food was great too!! Pancakes the size of your face for a decent price? Absolutely! We will definitely be going back there soon, can’t wait!!
The whole family LOVES this place, and they eat here regularly! (The Campbell family) Since I moved here last week, I, too, have begun eating here as well and LOVING EVERY BITE! THE COOK REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF!
Nice place to eat. It does not have a lot of seating. Staff and service was great at brunch on a Monday. Had the pancake, eggs, and meat platter with an add on hash brown. Pancakes were huge and cooked well. We asks for the hash browns to be crispy and well done and finally we found a place that knows how to cook well done hash browns. They were the best I have ever had. Very happy here and I look forward to returning for another meal.
Wow! Like other restaurants, Wilson's was extra busy because they are limited in capacity currently. A simple call ahead cut our wait time down significantly. The breakfasts was delicious and the bloody Marys were also great! If you go to Wilson's you must try the cinnabun pancakes! We plan to make this a regular stop when we are in the area.

The reviews speak for themselves: guests rave about the generous portions and the quality of the food. From David Bouwkamp's delight in the all-you-can-eat potato soup to the standout club sandwich that his son proclaimed the best ever, it’s clear that Wilson's has struck a chord with its visitors. The hearty meals are not just filling; they seem to offer a taste of the home-cooked comfort that many of us crave.
Diners can savor the nutty French toast, which has garnered commendations for being both delicious and substantial. Meanwhile, the experience is complemented by a setting decorated in rustic charm, offering a laid-back vibe accentuated by the sounds of country music. This is a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to enjoy the ambiance just as much as the food.
As you navigate through the menu, keep an eye on the fish selections—like the mouthwatering Michigan White Fish or the tender perch paired with fries and slaw. These dishes illuminate the local culinary scene and exemplify the freshness of ingredients sourced nearby. Janelle Hartman’s review underscores the quality of daily specials, further enticing repeat visits.
It’s worth noting, however, that while the food and service are commendable, the pricing may be a tad on the higher side for families. A $55 lunch bill for five, as noted by patrons, could prompt some consideration, but the unforgettable meals seem to justify the expense. Just a heads-up: there's a 4% fee for card payments, so keep that in mind when budgeting your visit.
